[ Drake smiles gently when Sharkface comes back, but when he comments on not sleeping in beds a hint of sadness creeps into his expression. He's remembering Ephemera and his dozens of pillows crowding them, how much the other man loved indulging in softness after so long without it. And now they're back at the start of it all, and he's thinking of all the things Sharkface doesn't love yet. Pillows. Him. It's... rough, but he scoots back in slowly, telegraphing his movements, and tells himself it'll be okay one way or another. However this turns out. ]
It might take some getting used to, but I think you'll like it.
[ He drapes an arm over the other man, wanting to tell him so many things. But what he settles on, his voice soft and almost shy, is: ]
[ Sharkface shifts a little so he can meet Drake's gaze, can see what's in his expression. His eyes. Sometimes Sharkface doesn't have the words for things, or knows that he reads people wrong. That's hurt him before. He's made mistakes. Trusted too easily.
But there's honesty there. Sincerity. Whatever else happens, he believes that Drake means what he says.
Sharkface takes a slow breath, trying to settle. ]

[ It's a relief how honest Sharkface sounds in return. Like he actually believes it. Drake tilts his head forward to bump their foreheads together, then snuggles down more comfortably. ]
