Drake stays facing away for a long moment without responding, the only sound in the room that of the running water. It takes him a minute to figure out how to explain concisely -- this is his tattoo. "Sharks have to keep moving forward," he tells Jesus simply, "or they die."
It's subtle, but when Jesus kisses his shoulder a little bit more tension eases from them. When he turns back he's not quite smiling again, but his expression is soft and calm.
"Lots of people say they're addictive, you ever hear that?" he asks Jesus, reaching out to help him with his own clothes. There's already gentle steam drifting from the shower to hint that the water is warm enough. "Start with one and if you don't hate every second of it you're probably doomed to wind up with a bunch."
