It's not as if Drake hasn't understood from the very beginning that people assuming the worst of him and being suspicious of his "real" intentions beneath the kindness is usually just self-defense. There's the occasional jerk, sure, but everyone else comes around even if they don't intend to, so Drake is patient.
This is probably the first time (in his world or the ones he's wound up in since his death) that somebody's got a completely reasonable explanation and an active awareness of what they're doing, to both others and themselves... and Drake's found himself the one coming around instead.
There are several things he could say in response and a few more questions he wants to ask, but none of it feels necessary right now. He might go there another day, assuming there is one. Today? Today he's just going to let Rosita assume the worst of him for as long as she needs to, and stop offering reassurances that aren't just reality playing out. Maybe someday they'll be friendlier. Maybe someday she'll trust him a little, and he'll be comfortable telling her that if she's got the option, she shouldn't go home. And at least if that day never comes and he's never more than a potential threat because that's what she needs him to be... at least he understands why, now.
But hopefully on this hypothetical 'someday' Rosita will get to heal a little. And Drake's fine being the one (or another, since he's pretty sure Jesus is there already) to hope that for her while she's not ready or willing to. In the meantime he knows he's a safe person to not only trust, but to hate. He'll drop the reassurance attempts and at least know he's being something for both of them.
"Thank you," he finally tells her, "for explaining all that. I think I'm closer to actually getting it now."
